Importance of the Advocate on Record (AOR) examination

Any application, including affidavits and vakalatnamas, that an advocate on record files for a client can be filed with the Supreme Court. A clerk registered with the Supreme Court is to assist with all areas of the law and procedural aspects of a case. A record-keeping advocate is accountable for handling a case properly. The Supreme Court of India has granted an advocate on record the right to practice anywhere in any court in the country; however, to practice as an AOR in the Supreme Court, a lawyer must meet additional requirements as stated by the Supreme Court. An advocate's position on file is determined by their background and expertise.

The Supreme Court of India must handle a wide range of issues that come before it because it is the country's highest court of appeals and court of last resort. AORs are appointed and the Advocate on Record test is held primarily to have an advocate with extensive expertise and understanding handling all of these situations. This will be very beneficial.
