Dr. Pinaki Ghosh has over 25 years of experience in Technology and around 15 years of experience in IP and Innovation. Currently, he is a Senior Advisor at KPMG, India. He is also an IPR Chair Professor at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. He has rich experience in legal analysis and research on various patent-related matters. Earlier, he was visiting faculty at IIT, Kharagpur for Intellectual Property Rights. He had worked as a scientist in the Indian missile program in the DRDO under the late Abdul Kalam, who subsequently became the President of India. He was a senior scientist in GE Medical Systems Defense Research (India) and had held a managerial position in IP in GE Medical, India (IP and Innovation). Still earlier, in 2005, as Head of IP in Infosys, he developed and institutionalized several IP guidelines, policies, and processes in Infosys. He has been an in-house IP expert for several large conglomerates, such as GE, IBM, and Reliance. Dr. Ghosh is a member of the CII National Committee on Technology and IPR and National Committee of Intellectual Property Owners and the core committee member of IP of CII, FICCI, and ASSOCHAM. Dr. Ghosh holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics from IIT, Kharagpur. His Ph.D. in Image Processing is from Indian Statistical Institute and Jadavpur University. He is also a Postgraduate in Patents Law from National Law School, Bangalore. He is pursuing a 2nd Ph.D. in Law. He is Six Sigma Black Belt certified. He is an inventor/owner of 26 patents. He has published 20 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, contributed 2 book chapters, and has made over 50 presentations as an invited speaker in national international IP-related conferences.
